Smokey Mountain Lacquers "Oh My Eyes!" Collection

***Press Sample***

I'm back with more neon goodness!!  Cutting right to the chase with this post - one of my eyes is half-swollen from allergies O_o

Smokey Mountain Lacquers just released the gorgeous "Oh My Eyes!" collection comprised of 7 neon holographic polishes.  I've got swatches of each to show you today!  All the polishes are shown in two coats, topped with HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat, and they all dried to a shiny finish in under 5 minutes.

First up: Sinful Lime

Sinful Lime is a bright lime green linear holographic polish.

Next up: Butter Me Up

Butter Me Up is a bright yellow polish with a subtle linear holographic effect.

Next: Too Hot To Handle

Too Hot To Handle is a bright orange polish with a subtle linear holographic effect.

Here is Orchid You Not

Orchid You Not is a bright hot pink linear holographic polish.

Grape Expectations is a bright purple linear holographic polish.

Next: Twilight Twist

Twilight Twist is a bright blue linear holographic polish.

Last but not least: My Cup of Teal

My Cup of Teal is a bright peacock/teal green linear holographic polish.

The Ups: These polishes are absolutely gorgeous!  No matter what pictures say, these polishes are sooooo bright in real-life!  They are definite stunners and real eye-catchers.  I love that they are opaque with two coats, and that they are holographic without being overwhelmingly so.  The fast dry time is also always a huge plus for me :)

The Downs:  Because hot weather is approaching, be sure to do your nails in a cool area devoid of excessive humidity and blowing fans.  In Phoenix, is has been in the high 80's the past few weeks, and when I tried doing these polishes during the day on one of those days, the polish became very thick, and created huge bubbles.  NOT the fault of the polish, but the fault of my environment - just something to keep in mind when applying :)

Overall:  I found no fault in these polishes!  This is a beautiful collection that satisfies the neon freak and the holo addict in me :D  Perfect!!

You can purchase each of these polishes individually for $10 per bottle for full size, $6 for 8ml mini size.  You can also purchase the collection in full for a discounted price of $65.80 for full size and $39.90 for 8ml mini size.  Here are some store and social media links for you:

Parrot Polish Neons

***Press Sample***

Warning you now - it's gonna be a neon-filled week on this blog!  They just happened to all fall in this week :P  We'll start with three blindingly awesome neons by Parrot Polish.  I'll preclude these swatches in saying these polishes are all a little on the thicker side, so you probably won't need to do too many layers before the polish is opaque - all but Limon were two coats for me.  Also want to point out that the colors of these polishes vary depending on lighting.

First up- Limon:

Limon is a highlighter yellow/chartreuse neon.  It is thinner and required a base coat of white in order to make that yellow really pop.  Dried to a satin finish in about 5 minutes.  Takes a little longer for these because they are on the thick side.

Next is Orange Surprise:

Orange Surprise is a light orange neon.  Also dried to a satin finish in about 5 minutes.  No undies with this one!

Last is Burst:

Burst is a magenta pink neon.  The pictures on their site look lighter than mine due to different lighting - mine are all in natural light, making them look a little darker than under artificial lighting.  The color may also have looked lighter with a white base, but the polish was thick as it was, I really didn't want another added layer of polish.  Burst is opaque in two coats, as shown in the photos above.  Dried to a satin finish in about 5 minutes.

Overall these are very colorful!  I love a good neon, though I would have been a little happier if these were a bit thinner.  There are 12 neons available on their website currently - I've got my eye on Mini Mint!!  You can follow them on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter for updates on new polishes and collections.

Are you a neon fan?  Any of the neons above tickle your fancy?
