Press Sample: Drip Drop Nail Paint New Releases

***Press Sample***

I hope you all have had a terrific week so far!  Mine's been pretty busy, thus why I have been a bit quiet on the blog front.

Today I have three new polishes releasing tomorrow by the brand Drip Drop Nail Paint.  Let's start with "Snazzy Jazzy:"

Snazzy Jazzy is a pink creme packed with golden glitter flecks.  Opaque in two coats, it dried in under five minutes to a shiny finish, though I added two coat of HKGirl Glisten & Glow topcoat for added shine.

Next up is "Tie-Dyed Butterfly:"

Tie-dyed Butterfly is a fun glitter topper packed with various sized and shaped glitters in the color pink, blue, green, yellow, and white.  I am wearing one coat over Snazzy Jazzy in the photos above, and it dried in about five minutes to a shiny, semi-textured finish.

Last but not least is my personal favorite of the bunch - "Restore the Classics:"

Restore the classics is a purple jelly packed with blue/blurple glitter flecks.  Opaque in three thin coats (or two thickly applied coats), this polish dried in under five minutes to a shine, though I again added topcoat in the photos above.

The Ups: The application of each of these polishes was really smooth.  The glitters in the topper spread out nicely, too, with no clumping or grouping.  I also loved the super fast dry time!

The Downs: None to name, really!  Snazzy Jazzy could be considered a "thick" polish, so that's just something to keep in mind when applying it.

Overall: These three polishes are super fun and absolutely beautiful!  They call to mind feelings of summer :)

These polishes will be releasing tomorrow at 12pm EST.  Will you be picking any up? :D

Polishes were purchased at a discounted price for swatches and a review.  My opinion is in no way swayed, and remains 100% honest.

Polish Post: Drip Drop & Candied Apple Polish Duo

Hiya, and happy Wednesday!

Drip Drop Nail Paint and Candied Apple Polish put out a Valentine's themed duo at the end of January called the "Box of Candy Drops."  It contained one polish from each brand, and two baggies of loose glitters - one with pink butterflies and hearts, and the other with purple and holographic hearts.  I managed to snag one before they were all gone :D

The polishes included are "Mint to Be" by Drip Drop and "Sweet Nothings" by Candied Apple:

Mint to Be is a gorgeous mint colored creme polish with an ever-so-subtle holographic dusting.  It applied very smoothly and was opaque in two coats.  Dried in about 5 minutes to a nice shine.  Sweet Nothings is a glitter topper with various sized turquoise, fuchsia, and holographic glitters as well as large white hearts.  Application on this one was a little tricky, as the glitter didn't seem to spread out very much (I'm wearing two layers in the photos, and I had to move the glitters around to evenly disperse them).  It was very difficult fishing those white hearts out because they fell to the bottom so quickly.  It did dry fairly quickly though to a nice shiny finish.  I added some of the lose hearts from the box to my middle and ring fingers to continue the Valentine's design :)  Who says Valentine's designs have to be pink or red? :D

Overall, this box was okay.  Mint to Be is my favorite, and I'm always happy with the formula of Drip Drop polishes.  I will say, though, I'm deterred from purchasing glitters from Candied Apple if they will all have that same formula - it was really tough to work with.

What do you think of this duo?  Do you prefer one to the other?  :)
