**Press Release** (Part 2): Teadora Body Polish Review

Wanted to sneak this post in today, so you can take advantage of the Black Friday sales going on for it tomorrow!!

A few weeks ago I shared a post with you about a product by the brand Teadora.  I received that product about a week after that post and decided to use it for 10 days straight before writing up a review.  Before I get into that, though, let me tell you a bit about the company.

Teadora products are made from all-natural raw organic ingredients from the Amazon, and they are harvested in a sustainable way.  Environmentally friendly = always an amazing thing!  I love respect for the Earth!  In the company's words, "By purchasing our products, you are supporting sustainable agriculture in Brazil to help stop rainforest deforestation.  You are also funding a philanthropy exchange between the U.S. and Brazil that promotes youth education, leadership development, and health."  I gotta say, I love companies that strive to do something good with the revenue from their product.

So now that we've established what this company is all about, let's talk about the product I reviewed!  I received the All-Natural Body Polish in the Rainforest at Dusk scent.

Product: Here

I used the body polish every night before I went to bed in place of cuticle oil.  Here is my what my hand looked like before I started using the body polish:

You can see that my hands and cuticles are quite out of shape (I got lazy the weeks prior and didn't bother using cuticle oil and moisturizing lotion at night).  Here's a picture of what my skin looked like after using the product for 5 days:

There is a noticeable improvement in the cuticles especially!  And here is what my skin looks like 10 days after using this product:

Still an improvement, though not as much of a difference between day 5 and day 10.

The Ups:  This body polish felt like a mud mask scrub when I used it - and I loved it!  It felt sooooooo good, especially if I had just spent the day swatching an washing my hands constantly.  I also really loved the musky smell.  It reminded me of a yoga studio I used to go to in Washington when we lived there - very earthy and soothing :)  I love how smooth my skin felt, too, right after washing it off.

The Downs:  While it did make an improvement in getting rid of most of my dry skin, especially around the cuticles, it did not take care of all of it.  However, I wouldn't really blame the product for that.  I have always had dry skin, even when I lotion frequently, I still get dry skin.  It's just the way it goes for me.  The fact that more than half my dry skin went away after using this product tells me it is a great product.  I cannot say for certain it would completely rid all dry skin for everyone, but I can say it would do a darn fine job getting rid of most of it, and making your hands a bit softer in the process :)

Overall:  I think this is an awesome product, not just for it's application, but because of the company that makes it.  I really love all-natural products, I try to use them whenever I can.  Being environmentally conscious is a great feature for any company, especially beauty companies.  I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a healthy scrub/body polish!

Challenge Your Nail Art: Traditional Thanksgiving Image

Happiest of Turkey Days to you!!!!  I hope you have wonderful plans for the day (even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving!).  I'll be spending it stuffing my face with good homemade food, and chatting with family :)

Today is the final day of Challenge Your Nail Art's Fall theme!

For my traditional Thanksgiving image, I chose a turkey - but a super cute one!!  Check it out!

(Please excuse the boo-boo on my ring finger)

The only polish I used was "Weddell Sea" by Elevation Polish for the background, and "Pilgrimatic" by Different Dimension for the glitter gradient.  Everything else is acrylic paint.  I like him ^_^

The Challenge Your Nail Art group has some pretty fantastic themes coming up for the entire month of December - that's right, there will be a new design every other day starting December 1st!  Be prepared to be spammed with some jolly good nail art!!!  I will try to insert some regular polish posts in between, too, for those of you more interested in polishes than art ^_^

Have a fantastic Thanksgiving, lovelies!!  See you soon <3

Challenge Your Nail Art: Fall Colors

Hard to believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow already!!  I'll be spending the morning making grilled bacon guacamole and sweet potato bacon and chive biscuits.  Yummo!!

Today is the third theme for Challenge Your Nail Art - Fall Colors!

I have to admit, this one had me stumped a little.  You'd think such a vague subject would be easy, but I operate better on specific themes rather than leaving it to my imagination - go figure :P  So I decided to go with something a bit simple, and a little new technique for me :)  Here's my design:

I found every polish I had of my favorite fall colors (the reds, oranges, golds, and browns of the changing leaves).  I lined them up so they would look like they were turning from red to brown/black and sponged them on that way in a long gradient design.  From left to right, I used "Friday the 13th," "Donna," and "Akiko" polishes from Above the Curve, "Gobble Me Up" from Ice Polish, "Latte," "Mocha," and "Dark Roast," from Model City Polish, and "Blackest Night" from Colors by Llarowe.  The beautiful glitter gradient is "Pilgrimatic" from Different Dimension.

I'm surprised at how lovely this turned out!  I'll be a little sad to take this off, but happy to know that this type of design worked for me ^_^  Sooooo many options out there now!  The world is mine!  Bwahahahaha!!

Make sure you check out the other lovely designs by some more amazing blogger gals!!  See you tomorrow morning for the last design <3

Challenge Your Nail Art: Fall Food

I am very, very late to post today - I apologize.  I've been feeling quite under the weather and very slow-going today.  I'll be keeping this one short and sweet :)

As you can see, today's theme for Challenge Your Nail Art is Fall Food.  I decided to go with a lattice and traditional pie look - check it out:

I found a great tutorial on how to do this here.  I used acrylic paints, though, instead of nail polish (as she did in the instructable).  I'm pretty pleased :)

Be sure to check out the other amazing designs by fellow members of this Challenge Your Nail Art group!  See you tomorrow with the next design <3

Challenge Your Nail Art: "Fall Leaves and/or Trees

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!  Mine was a bit busy, full of errands and chores.  I had an archery tournament last night and placed 2nd!  That was pretty exciting for me - I wasn't expecting to place at all!  :D

You may remember all the Halloween nail art I did in October as part of a challenge for a nail art group on Facebook.  Well that group has a new set of challenges for this month, all themed around Fall/Thanksgiving!

Here is the design I came up with for today's challenge:

I wanted to create something was was a little more unconventional for a fall leaf design.  I wanted to do something reminiscent of my childhood, because Fall has always been my favorite season.  One of the reasons why it is my favorite is because, growing up, my family and I would go to the park in our neighborhood and rake all the leaves into a giant pile we would then jump and/or fall into.  It was so much fun every time - even though it totally did NOT feel like landing on a bed of pillows :P  I tried to convey that memory through this nail design :)  I hope you like it ^_^

Tomorrow I will have a new design for you for the next challenge!  Until then, take a look at all the other beautiful designs of the other ladies participating in this challenge!

See you soon <3

Polish Post: Gothic Gala Lacquers "Silver Bells" Swatches, Review, and Nail Art

**Polish Supplied by Gothic Gala Lacquers for swatches**

It's everybody's favorite day of the week again!  Friiiiiiiiday!!!  W00T!  :D

Today I wanted to show you a gorgeous polish created by Gothic Gala Lacquers for this Holiday season - it's called Silver Bells, and it is quite a stunner!  Check it out:

Outdoors

Indoors

Silver Bells is a gorgeous metallic silver chrome holographic polish.  It applies super smooth - opaque in 2 coats, though I am wearing 3 thin coats in the photos.  The polish dries in under 5 minutes to a shiny finish.  It's an absolutely beautiful polish and is one that, while it is very suitable for the season, can be worn year-round.  The wear time is really good with this color, too - 3 days and no chipping or tip-wear!  Love it!

I was inspired to do some quick nail art for this polish ^_^

It's just so lovely - definitely my new favorite silver chrome polish!! :D

M-I-C-K-E-Y

Why? Because we like you!!  M-O-U-S-E!!!

Did you know that yesterday was the birthday of Mickey Mouse?  His first debut was in 1928 in Steamboat Willie, so he turned 86 yesterday!  Looks pretty good for that age! :P

I have a die-hard Disney fan friend that informed me of his birthday yesterday and asked if I had a special design for the occasion.  Truth be told, I did not, because I didn't even know about Mickey's birthday - but I came up with one last night to show you today :)  So, here is my Happy (Belated) Birthday, Mickey design!

I used the traditional black, red, and white colors I've always associated with Mickey, and added a blue sparkly nail as a nod to Fantasia - my favorite Mickey Mouse movie to date :)  These were fun to create!  Now I am inspired to do an entire design around Fantasia :D

I hope you all have a great Wednesday!!  See you soon <3
