KBShimmer Summer Colors!

You know what launched today?  3 brand new Summer collections by KBShimmer!!  So excite!!!  I have a few of the new polishes to show you today, so let's get right to it!

First up: "Rum Me The Right Way:"

Rum Me The Right Way is a bright faded neon yellow creme, opaque in 2-3 coats, depending on how thick you apply it, and dry in under five minutes.  Shown in the photos above is 3 thin coats with a clear topcoat for added shine.

Next up is "Lei It Again:"

Lei It Again is a faded neon pink with the same application and dry time as Rum Me The Right Way.  Shown above in 3 thin coats with a clear topcoat.

Next we have "Precious Petals," shown in one coat over Lei It Again:

Precious Petals is a pastel glitter topper with various sized hex glitters in pink, blue, purple, and white, as well as a dusting of holographic shimmer.  This topper was very easy to apply with glitters that spread out nicely.  Dry in under five minutes to semi-texture, so a good topcoat, like KBShimmer Clearly On Top, would even it out nicely.

Here is "Wave The Flag," shown over Zoya's "Dove:"

Wave the Flag is a patriotic glitter topper with red, blue, and white matte glitters and tiny white stars.  This applied the same as Precious Petals, with the same dry time.  Shown above in one coat with a clear topcoat to smooth the texture.

Last up is my favorite of the ones I received - "We Be Jammin':"

And here it is shown outdoors:

This stunner is a bright magenta polish with a blue shimmer and micro holographic sparkle.  This applied very smoothly and is opaque in 2-3 coats, dry in under five minutes.

The Ups:  These particular polishes all applied very well, with great coverage and dry time.  I love the festive summery feeling with these, and I adore the patriotic topper!  

The Downs:  The faded neons tended to be a bit thick during application, but still leveled out evenly and dried quickly.

Overall:  Another fantastic set of polishes by KBShimmer!  This brand has yet to let me down :)

I decided to do a bit of nail art with Rum Me The Right Way, Lei It Again, and We Be Jammin' :D

Stamped an image from my HeHe plate using Rum Me The Right Way, then I used a dotting tool to go over the tiny dots in the design with Lei It Again.  I loved how this turned out so much that I wore this mani for two and a half days!  Whaaaaaat?

Gothic Gala Lacquers "Science Is Beautiful" Collection

I hope everyone had a delightful weekend!  Mine was packed with a birthday party and Mother's Day fun :)  Today I've got the gorgeous new Science Is Beautiful collection to show you by Gothic Gala Lacquers!  There are 5 polishes in this collection, all full-coverage microglitters.  In all photos below, I am wearing two coats of the polish followed by a coat of "Smooth Me Over" and then a coat of HKGirl Glisten & Glow for added shine.

First up: Weird Science

Weird Science is packed with gold holo and pink microglitters.

Next up: Blinded Me With Science

Blinded Me With Science is a silver holo with an assortment of other colored microglitters.

Next: Sounds of Science

Sounds of Science is a teal holo microglitter with green and aqua glitters.

Next: Science Is Real

Science Is Real is a red microglitter with purple holo microglitters.

Last up is my favorite: Theory of Everything

Theory of Everything is a blue microglitter polish with flashes of silver holo glitter.

The Ups: Full coverage in two coats.  FULL COVERAGE!  I loooooooove sparkly glitters that are full coverage in two coats or less!!  These also dried fairly quickly, though it took longer with the added topcoats.

The Downs:  The polishes tended to thicken up with the second coat, but I have a high suspicion that is due to the hot weather we are having here in Phoenix.

Overall:  If you're a fan of sparkly glittery holo-y goodness, you need this collection!  The polish applies smoothly and evenly, dries in a decent amount of time, and is absolutely blinding in the sunlight!!  They're simply stunning, every one of them!
