Gothic Gala Lacquers Burlesque Girls Collection

***Press Sample***

Y'all.

Y'.  ALL.

This collection is amazing.  AMAZING!!

I'm not even gonna say anything else, I'm just gonna let the swatches speak for themselves!

I lied - I'm gonna say two more things:

1. This collection is a re-vamped version or her original Burlesque Girls - this one has more holoooooooooooo!!!

2. In all but one set of swatches I am wearing two coats of the polish plus a topcoat.

Onto the Holo Glory!!

First up: Opal Jamila

Direct Sunlight
Opal Jamila is a white pearlescent polish with holographic flakies.  This is the only polish I used 3 thin coats instead of 2 normal coats, because it was the only one that was a tiny bit thick, and a little less opaque and I didn't want any VNL.

Next up: Sassy Citrine

Sassy Citrine is a yellow gold holo polish.  This is definitely one of the smoother gold holos I've come across, but you do want to be mindful of your brush strokes.

Next up: Lili St. Cyr

Lili St. Cyr is a gorgeous Kelly green holo with subtle blue micro flakies - which are AMAZING and really add to the flare!

Next: Misty Bon Bon

Misty Bon Bon is a lovely teal holo with subtle green micro flakies - again, really adding to that flare in the holo.

Next we have: Dannie Diesel

Dannie Diesel is a very beautiful medium sky blue with subtle blue micro flakies, and it is diviiiiiiiiine!!!  It is such a brilliant blue, definitely a must-have, and my second favorite in the collection!

Next: Krystal Sparkle

Krystal Sparkle is a deep blue holo jelly with various sizes and shapes of holo glitters throughout.  This was, in my experience, one of the easier jellies with glitter to apply - I didn't have to "encourage" certain larger pieces of glitter to spread out and not clump.  It applied very well and evenly!

Next: Perle Noir

Perle Noir is a dusty blue holo polish with subtly purple micro flakies.  Those flakies really give this polish character, and make it look almost purple in some lighting - I love it!

Next up: Sinfully Stephanie

Sinfully Stephanie, a beautiful blurple polish with a strong holographic effect, is a must have for all the purple lovers out there.  It is so gorgeous and vampy - it's just perfect, and an excellent darker choice for the changing season!

Next: Dita Von Teese

Dita Von Teese is a Berry holo polish and is another jaw dropper in the sunlight - I mean, just look at that flame!!! Unnf!!!

And lastly we have: Gypsy Rose Lee

Gypsy Rose Lee is a rose pink holo polish with subtle pink micro flakies.  I'm not usually a fan of pink, but I love that this one is just a but on the dustier side, which made it so perfect for me and my skin tone, as well as for the Fall Season (hey - Fall's not just about brown, orange, and yellow, mmkay?).

This gorgeous Burlesque Girls collection is available NOW!  And you have until about 8pm PST to get it before it is gone forever - that's right, it absolutely pains me to say that Gothic Gala Lacquers will be closing her doors :(  She's holding a HUGE 50% off sale right now - use the code CLOSING at check out.  She wanted me to add that she reserves the right to end the sale early if she runs out of supplies - wouldn't make sense for her to have to buy more when she's closing up shop.

I do urge you to still follow her, especially on Instagram, as she may be dipping her toes into the swatching waters, and from the nail art I've seen her do thus far, she's definitely a person you're gonna want to follow!!!

Ellagee's Vacation & Three Years of Sparkle

***Press Sample***

I spent all of yesterday - ALL OF IT - thinking it was Thursday.  When you're a stay at home mom and your hubs is out of town, all the days flow together, and don't even ask me the date.  And this isn't the first time that's happened :P  If I didn't have this blog, I'd probably float in this dateless dayless world.

But enough about that nonsense - let's get to some polish!!

Ellagee is one of my favorite indies.  Her polish has great formula, she comes out with some stuff that's on par with what's popular, but a lot of stuff that's unique.  I love that :)

She sent me two gorgeous polishes that I somehow let slip by without purchasing and asked me to swatch them.  Who am I to say no to one of my favorite indies?!

I'll show you the first stunner - Vacation

Direct Sunlight - Holoooooo!!!!

Vacation is a stunning nude/gold-leaning holo.  It's just...I mean...it's perfection.  I love it, it has become my new go-to holo nude.  It applies super smoothly, opaque in 2-3 coats (depending on how thick you apply them), and dries in under 5 minutes.  I love it with black stamping, and will have to go back and do another mani with black stamping over every nail.  And I tell you, the holo in this is ASTOUNDING - it's a huge distraction when outside and/or driving.  It should come with a warning label.

And here we have Three Years of Sparkle

Three Years of Sparkle is a gorgeous berry/magenta-ish jelly packed with, well, SPARKLE!!  Same easy application, same 2-3 coats to make it opaque.  And same amount of distraction - holy wowzers.  The sparkle in this is less holo, but still BAM!  It's really striking, and again, needs a warning label or something.  I sponged it on over Vacation on my ring finger using vinyls from What's Up Nails, and I think the two go super well together.  They make a great distraction team :P

These two lovelies are available for purchase now at the shop link below!

So tell me - what do you think??  Do you own either of these?  If not, do you want to? :D  Let me know in the comments!

Smokey Mountain Lacquers "Oh My Eyes!" Collection

***Press Sample***

I'm back with more neon goodness!!  Cutting right to the chase with this post - one of my eyes is half-swollen from allergies O_o

Smokey Mountain Lacquers just released the gorgeous "Oh My Eyes!" collection comprised of 7 neon holographic polishes.  I've got swatches of each to show you today!  All the polishes are shown in two coats, topped with HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat, and they all dried to a shiny finish in under 5 minutes.

First up: Sinful Lime

Sinful Lime is a bright lime green linear holographic polish.

Next up: Butter Me Up

Butter Me Up is a bright yellow polish with a subtle linear holographic effect.

Next: Too Hot To Handle

Too Hot To Handle is a bright orange polish with a subtle linear holographic effect.

Here is Orchid You Not

Orchid You Not is a bright hot pink linear holographic polish.

Grape Expectations is a bright purple linear holographic polish.

Next: Twilight Twist

Twilight Twist is a bright blue linear holographic polish.

Last but not least: My Cup of Teal

My Cup of Teal is a bright peacock/teal green linear holographic polish.

The Ups: These polishes are absolutely gorgeous!  No matter what pictures say, these polishes are sooooo bright in real-life!  They are definite stunners and real eye-catchers.  I love that they are opaque with two coats, and that they are holographic without being overwhelmingly so.  The fast dry time is also always a huge plus for me :)

The Downs:  Because hot weather is approaching, be sure to do your nails in a cool area devoid of excessive humidity and blowing fans.  In Phoenix, is has been in the high 80's the past few weeks, and when I tried doing these polishes during the day on one of those days, the polish became very thick, and created huge bubbles.  NOT the fault of the polish, but the fault of my environment - just something to keep in mind when applying :)

Overall:  I found no fault in these polishes!  This is a beautiful collection that satisfies the neon freak and the holo addict in me :D  Perfect!!

You can purchase each of these polishes individually for $10 per bottle for full size, $6 for 8ml mini size.  You can also purchase the collection in full for a discounted price of $65.80 for full size and $39.90 for 8ml mini size.  Here are some store and social media links for you:
