Fun with Zoya's "Estelle" and "Aggie"

Another Friday!  Where did LAST week go?!  Oy vey, I tell ya, this week was NUTZ.  So many errands, so little time.  Thank goodness it is the weekend and we have absolutely NOTHING planned ^_^

Recently, Zoya launched two new collection for Fall, one of them is called the Flair Collection, and it is 6 jewel toned metallic polishes that are just absolutely stunning!  A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail from Zoya about a promo of free shipping with the purchase of three polishes.  I took advantage of that and purchased three of my favorites from the Flair Collection (hardest decision of the week).  They came in ridiculously fast and my jaw hit the floor when I looked at them in person.  I've got two to show you today - "Estelle" and "Aggie:"

Estelle is described as, "a blue on blue liquid metal with a blackened base."

I've seen a few other reviews from bloggers who applied Estelle in two coats to achieve a smooth, even look, but I only had to apply one coat to achieve that - maybe the polish thickened up in transit to me, since I live on the surface of the sun.

It's so bloody hot here.

Aggie is described as, "a gold holo flip liquid metal with bronze micro glitter."

Dunno about them "holo" apples, but it was definitely a brilliant gold with a bronze shimmer.  This one almost felt like a tamed duochrome, it was lovely.  Zoya's online description also calls it a "sheer" polish, opaque in 3 coats, but I am wearing one layer over Estelle in the photos, and it looks pretty darn opaque to me.  Again, though, HEAT.  Lots, and lots, of heat where I live.

As you can already see, I chose to do a giraffe design with these two colors.

The blue is just so brilliant and deep it makes for the perfect contrasting background with the brightness of Aggie.  I used vinyls from Up Your Nail - Disturbed Nail Vinyls for the giraffe patterning, and freehand painted the giraffe on my middle finger using acrylic paint.

This is one of the most stunning collections I've seen yet from Zoya, and I will definitely need to be picking up the other three polishes in it.  Have you snagged any of these yet?

    1. Right?? Even in the sun I saw no holo. Maybe I'm just too used to the in-your-face holos that anything less just isn't for me :P

  3. I wouldn't call that a holo, but it's quite a lovely color! I love that giraffe, and the combination of these 2 polishes!

  10. Oh my gosh, that giraffe is the cutest! I adore it! I don't think I could make a giraffe as well with a pen and paper! The blue and gold giraffe skin pattern is unexpected but it works so so well together!
