Octopus Party Nail Lacquer's Ella Ann Exclusives

***Press Sample***

Howdy folks!

I've got 4 beautiful polishes that Dave, the alchemist of Octopus Party Nail Lacquers, created as exclusives for Ella Ann Cosmetics.  No, they are not available anymore.  Yes, I am a Lamesaur for not posting this before the window to purchase was closed.  Shame on me.  A million mosquito bites on my foot.

But I wanted to at least share some photos with you, in case you did not purchase because you thought, "Meh, it's just polish."

It is so much more though...

We'll start with Butch Gardens:

Butch Gardens is a gorgeous tealy green with an amazing purple shimmer and a strong holographic effect.  I luffles it ^_^

Next in line is Suffocation:

I don't know what to call Suffocation, as it seemed to change colors constantly in different lighting, which was awesome!!  I guess if I had to label it, I'd take is as a steel grey with dusty purple undertones and shimmer, and a very strong linear holo effect.

Here we have Prey for Me:

Chocolate. Brown. HOLO.  Prey For Me is my dream brown holo polish - it's the perfect vampy, yet cozy shade and it's holo.  This polish has my Fall name written all over it!

And finally we have my personal favorite - Hocus Focus:

Hocus Focus is another shifty lady - purple in some lighting, periwinkle in others, and full on vibrant bright blue in the sunlight with a more subtle holograhic effect.  It's really, really gorgeous and the shifts and effects in in remind me of Sleeping Beauty's dress that changed colors - make it pink! make it blue!!

Overall Dave knocked these out of the park.  Can't say I'm surprised as I have yet to stumble across an OPNL that is garbage.  I don't think that's possible...

So anyway!  I know the Fall Part 1 collection *should* be coming up for a second round of pre-orders this Saturday, but don't quote me on that...  If so, I'll have a blog post for you on that collection BEFORE it re-releases.  In the mean time, make sure you are following Octopus Party Nail Lacquer where you can - here are the links:

Whatcha think?  Any of these you like the best?  Any of you snag these while they were available??

Polishes were provided at a special blogger discount in exchange for photography and an honest review.

Seventy Seven Fall Colors-Inspired Mani

Dunno why, but I still feel this way, every year, around this time in Phoenix.  And every year, I am disappointed.  Thank goodness for our land in Flagstaff (2ish hours north) that experiences all four seasons - my kids WILL know the changing of leaves and they WILL know snow, dammit!!

Anywho, speaking of Fall, it is my *favorite* season!!  So, you know, I was pretty excited to get started on some Fall-inspired manis ^_^  I decided to start with three polishes I received in a polish swap with Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer, and created a gradient!!  The beauties I used are: Harmony, Valentina, and Sand in Low Places.

Sand in Low Places

Valentina

Harmony

Direct Sunlight - Holooooooo!!!

Ho.  Lee.  CRAP.  SO MUCH HOLO!!  You know, I could tell they were pretty when looking at them in the bottle, but once I got them on my nails, WOW!  I did a gradient of Harmony and Valentina, shown in 3 sponged layers over naked nail, and then sponged Sand in Low Places over the tips in one coat.  I *love* how these all look together!!  Definitely reminiscent of Fall colors ^_^

I have so many more Seventy Seven's to show you, too, including a Seahawks duo!!  I only Sportsball when Seahawks are playing - the rest of the year I couldn't care less :P  I'll be coming up with something pretty awesome with those polishes ;)

What do you think of these colors?  Do they say, "Oh yeah, it's Fall!" to you?  Do you own any polish from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer?

MTK's Creepy Niece

***Press Sample***

People used to joke about this before we moved down here, and I just thought they were being funny.  They, uh...they weren't.  It's absolutely true.

I'm still excited though, because while it may not feel like the Fall everyone else experiences, it is cooler than 100 effing degrees - I'll take it!  And I get to start decorating my house for Halloween soon!! :D

Speaking of Halloween, I have a polish to show you today that would be perfect for the holiday!!  This one is called "Creepy Niece" by MTK Polish, and it is awesome!!

As you can see from the pics, Creepy Niece is a light green-to-dark-olive thermal polish with a purple shimmer, and it also glows in the dark!!  Opaque in 3-4 coats (depending on how thick you apply), and it dries to a shiny finish.  I used a specialty black crackle topcoat by Barry M for the tips in this mani :)

Creepy Niece will only be available for the next few months - it will be retired by the end of the year. So now would be an excellent time to pick one up for yourself :D  You can purchase Creepy Niece HERE, and browse the store to check out the other awesome polish HERE.  You can also follow the brand's Facebook page and Instagram for updates on new polishes!

What do you think of this polish?  Does it remind you of a good Fall/Halloween polish, too? :)

Polish sent to me by the company for photography and review purposes.  Any experiences and opinions I have of the polish are my own and remain 100% honest.

Challenge Your Nail Art: Traditional Thanksgiving Image

Happiest of Turkey Days to you!!!!  I hope you have wonderful plans for the day (even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving!).  I'll be spending it stuffing my face with good homemade food, and chatting with family :)

Today is the final day of Challenge Your Nail Art's Fall theme!

For my traditional Thanksgiving image, I chose a turkey - but a super cute one!!  Check it out!

(Please excuse the boo-boo on my ring finger)

The only polish I used was "Weddell Sea" by Elevation Polish for the background, and "Pilgrimatic" by Different Dimension for the glitter gradient.  Everything else is acrylic paint.  I like him ^_^

The Challenge Your Nail Art group has some pretty fantastic themes coming up for the entire month of December - that's right, there will be a new design every other day starting December 1st!  Be prepared to be spammed with some jolly good nail art!!!  I will try to insert some regular polish posts in between, too, for those of you more interested in polishes than art ^_^

Have a fantastic Thanksgiving, lovelies!!  See you soon <3
