MTK Autumn Nights Collection

***Press Sample***

Well now I feel old.

I'm thankful though that this is actually true this time - was getting real sick of seeing, every few months, a photoshopped picture of the time machine's future date captioned, "Today is the day Marty McFly arrived in the future!"  It's pretty neat though to see how much the movie and the real October 21st 2015 have in common :)  Still waiting on my self-lacing Nike's - could really go for a pair of those now that it is a struggle to reach my feet with a big ole belly in the way ;)

Today I've got a gorgeous Fall collection to show you by MTK Design!  This collection is called "Autumn Nights" and consists of four polishes.

Note: All swatches are shown with a base coat of OPI's Nail Envy and a topcoat of Pahlish's Magic Mirror.

Let's start with "Hunter's Moon:"

Hunter's Moon is a gorgeous deep red jelly back with red glitters and a subtle blue shimmer.  Shown above is 2 coats.

Next is "Mourningstar:"

Mourningstar is a beautiful dusty purple/grey packed with various holographic glitters.  Shown above is two coats.

Next is "Indian Summer Sunset:"

Indian Summer Sunset is a bright orange/red creme with a scattered holographic shimmer throughout.  Shown above is ONE COAT!  Love one-coaters ^_^  Word of warning - this tended to stain my cuticles just a bit, but if you use pure acetone for the cleanup, it all comes off (as you can see in the photos).

And finally we have "Midnight Stargazing:"

Midnight Stargazing is a gorgeous deep blue jelly packed full of gold and blue glitter flakies.  Shown above is 2 coats.

This whole collection is just beautiful - I love the various types of polishes available, and that they are each unique!  Definitely a great collection for the Fall season!

You can purchase the full set HERE at $40 for the 15ml size, and $20 for the 5ml size.  They are also available individually at the same link at $10 for the 15ml and $5 for the 5ml.  Here are some of the brand's social links for you to follow:

So what do you think of this collection?  Let me know in the comments!!

MTK's Creepy Niece

***Press Sample***

People used to joke about this before we moved down here, and I just thought they were being funny.  They, uh...they weren't.  It's absolutely true.

I'm still excited though, because while it may not feel like the Fall everyone else experiences, it is cooler than 100 effing degrees - I'll take it!  And I get to start decorating my house for Halloween soon!! :D

Speaking of Halloween, I have a polish to show you today that would be perfect for the holiday!!  This one is called "Creepy Niece" by MTK Polish, and it is awesome!!

As you can see from the pics, Creepy Niece is a light green-to-dark-olive thermal polish with a purple shimmer, and it also glows in the dark!!  Opaque in 3-4 coats (depending on how thick you apply), and it dries to a shiny finish.  I used a specialty black crackle topcoat by Barry M for the tips in this mani :)

Creepy Niece will only be available for the next few months - it will be retired by the end of the year. So now would be an excellent time to pick one up for yourself :D  You can purchase Creepy Niece HERE, and browse the store to check out the other awesome polish HERE.  You can also follow the brand's Facebook page and Instagram for updates on new polishes!

What do you think of this polish?  Does it remind you of a good Fall/Halloween polish, too? :)

Press Sample: MTK Design Blush Collection

***Press Sample***

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!  Today I've got the brand new Blush Collection by MTK Design to show you!  This collection consists of four blush-colored polishes.  All are shown in the pictures below in 3 thin coats with 1 topcoat for added shine.  Any nail art present is freehanded.

Let's start with "Crimson Shy:"

Crimson Shy is a frosty translucent red.

Next up is "It's My Crush:"

It's My Crush is a pale pink with a darker pink shimmer.

Next is "He's My Guy:"

He's My Guy is a mature mauve with strong purple tones.

Lastly we have "I Don't Blush:"

I Don't Blush is a sparkly peach color with a dark peach shimmer.

The Ups: The polishes applied very smoothly with no clumping or pulling with added layers.  They each dried in under five minutes as well.

The Downs: Crimson Shy was the sheerest of the collection, and definitely needs three coats, but the others you could get away with two thick coats.

Overall: This collection is perfect for the office woman and anyone that loves blush/neutral colors - these polishes add some subtle beauty to your fingers with striking shimmers.

You can purchase the 15ml full-sized collection for $38.00, or the 5ml mini-sized collection for $18.00  Individual prices are $10.00 for the full size and $5.00 for the mini size.  You can purchase the polishes HERE.  These are limited edition, so I suggest gettin' while the gettin's good!

You can also follow MTK Design via their Facebook PageTwitter, and Instagram for updates on upcoming polishes.

What do you think of this collection?  Will you be picking any up?

Polish Post: MTK Design Cafe Collection Swatches and Review

You know what I and (dare I say?) billions of other people in this world love?  Coffee.  Sweet, sweet coffee.  Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts, Folgers, Gevalia - I love them all!

Except McDonalds.  That coffee is naaaaaasty.

I bring up coffee not just to admire how amazing it is, but because I had purchased a mini collection of four different coffee scented nail polishes by the brand MTK Design,  You may remember a post I did a while back on a prototype (now named "Every Girl's Dream") by this brand.  I liked it so much I wanted some more ^_^  Today I'm gonna show you some pictures from their Cafe Collection with a review :)  There are four polishes in this collection - check them out!

Indoors

Sunlight

The four polishes are French Vanilla Latte (pointer finger) - a shimmery golden brown that smells of french vanilla coffee; Mocha Foam (middle finger) - a chocolate milk colored creme polish that smells of cocoa; Joe (ring finger) - a chocolate brown with a nice coppery shimmer that smells of coffee; and lastly, Double Shot - a dark, cocoa brown with a golden shimmer that also has a coffee scent but is a little stronger.

French Vanilla is very thin, but smooth in application.  I did 4 coats to get it mostly opaque (you can still see the whites of the nail in certain angles outdoors), and it dried fairly quickly to a shiny finish.  Smelled just like french vanilla coffee!  Mocha Foam took 2 coats for complete opacity, and applied a bit thicker, but did not drag or clump.  It dried pretty quickly to a muted shiny finish, and smelled like delicious cocoa for sure - probably my favorite of the scents ^_^  I used 3 coats of Joe because while it only needed 2 for full coverage, I felt one more really evened out the color.  Smelled like coffee for sure, and dried just as fast as the others, but to a more satin finish.  Double Shot took 2 coats for opacity, dried quick to a satin finish, and smelled like coffee, though not too much stronger than Joe.

These were all so fun, and really lovely shades of brown!  I will say, though, that Joe and Double Shot seemed to lose their scent fairly quickly - like, by the end of the day :(  That is the only negative aspect about the polish though.  It's a great little quartet!

Polish Post: MTK Design UNRELEASED Polish with Swatches and Review

*PRESS RELEASE*

If you are reading this, then you survived Monday!  Congratulations!  Now you have 6 days to prepare for the next one ;)

Writing up a shorter blog post today.  It is my mother's birthday and I have lots to do before celebrating tonight ^_^  So let's get right on to the polish!

There is a new indie polish company called MTK Design, and they have the prettiest colors in production!  She recently sent minis of her current collection to bloggers/IGers/swatchers for testing and/or reviewing.  I am one of those lucky people, and I got to choose which color!  I chose an adorable pink, mostly because I don't usually dabble with pink and also because it was a really pretty shade.  Take a look at the pictures below:

Outdoors

Shade

This polish color is unnamed so far, and known only to me as "#15."  Well let me tell you, #15 is a pretty little number!  It is a light rosy pink with a pearly sheen to it.  It is on the thicker side of polishes, but not so thick that it is a pain to applicate.  The color is opaque after about 3 coats, and dries very quickly to a semi-satin finish.  I am wearing Digital Nails' "Ain't Nobody Got Time For That" topcoat in the photos.

It is a darling polish, and definitely a new favorite pink of mine :)  Here are some links for you to keep up to date with her polish releases:

Etsy: Here

Instagram: And Here

Check her out, give her some Facebook "like" love and an IG follow :)

That's all for today!  Going to work on some more art for you in the next day or two.  To give you a hint: it will be way more amazing then the pathetic movie re-make that just released ;)  See you soon <3
