***PRESS SAMPLE***
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I was one of those silly people out shopping and taking advantage of mega discounts on all the Christmas stuff :P Hey, it's how I got my 6ft tree this year for 70% off last year ;)
You may remember a
post I wrote up on the 18th about a new polish from
KBShimmer based on
Pantone's Color of the Year "Marsala." I received the polish the day after Christmas, and oh my wow, it is a STUNNER!!!
"Men are from Mars-ala" is an absolutely gorgeous color, and the linear holographic effect is astounding - not only is is super eye-catching outdoors, but it is just as stunning indoors! Take a look at the photos below:

Indoors
The application was super smooth and even, with no dragging or streaking. It took only 2 thin coats to be completely opaque, and dried in under 5 minutes to a lovely shiny finish (shown in the photos above). Wear time is impressive with this polish, too, as I had no chipping or wear at the tips for the 3 days I had it on! As a stay-at-home-mommy, it's always nice to find a polish that will stand up to the various chores and mommy duties in my day :)
If you're not-so-into the holographic goodness of this polish, this is what it looks like with a matte topcoat:
Adding the matte topcoat helps the overall color of "Men are from Mars-ala" stand out a bit more, since the holographic effect is so strong. It becomes a really lovely, soft neutral shade.
I have nothing bad to say about this polish - it's just perfect! KBShimmer hit it out of the ballpark with "Men are from Mars-ala." This gorgeous polish will be available for purchase January 1st at the company's website
here. Believe me, you don't want to miss this one!
I'm curious to know - which do you prefer? Are you a Must-Holo-All-The-Things! kind of person (like me), or do you prefer the more subtle, rich look of the matte topcoat?
*NOTE: This polish was sent to me for swatches and a review. However, my opinion is 100% honest and in no way swayed. Links in my post are NOT affiliate (i.e. I get no kickback when you click on them). I simply provide them for your convenience :)
