Press Sample: New M Polish Colors!

***Press Sample***

This Tuesday is soooo acting like a Monday for me :P  Let's talk about some polish to make it better ^_^

I received four of the seven new colors released yesterday by M Polish, and let me tell you, they are all STUNNERS!!!  If you didn't already know, M Polish is a 5-free indie brand specializing in premium quality stamping polish.  Truth be told, it is the most unique, beautiful, and easy to work with stamping polish I've come across yet!

Her new collection is called "Polish of My People" and she named each of the 7 colors after some of her nail friends that have not only been enablers in polish buying, but also very supportive of her polish making :)  Let's take a look at the four colors I received, shall we?

First up - "Pish Plashin' Around:"

Pish Plashin' Around is a gorgeous bright blue polish.  Depending on your computer/phone, this polish may look more blurple (it does on my phone for some reason, no matter how hard I tried to tweak it).  As you can see in the macro, this polish hugged every curve and detail in the butterfly and the plant, leaving no naked space when transferred!  I am wearing it as a base on my middle and ring, and for the stamped imaged on my pointer and pink.  The white polish in the photos is "Snowberry" from her Spring collection.

Next is "I Need A Vacation:"

I Need A Vacation is a beautiful burnt red polish that, as you can see from the photos, also does an excellent job transferring ALL detail from intricate images - check out the hummingbird's beak!!  Amazing!!  For the background, I watermarbled Snowberry and Annette (from the Mama Loves Polish duo), then stamped over it :)

Here is "Fresh Perspective:"

Fresh Perspective is a lovely bright pink color that stamps as perfectly as the others :)  I wanted to go with a more funky and fun design for this polish, and it gave me the opportunity to finally use one of my fun HeHe plates!

Last up is "Hottie:"

Hottie is a bright orange polish, with the same application as the rest.  I watermarbled Snowberry and Starflower together from the Spring collection, and stamped Hottie over using images from the Sailor #7 plate by MoYou London (my first MYL plate ever, received as a gift ^_^ ).  I love these little fishies, and how this looks like an underwater scene!  The detail that came through with each fish is fantastic - this polish truly is remarkable, I can't say it enough!!

The full collection launched yesterday and is still available and in stock right now!  Price for the 11ml full collection is $43, and for the 5ml minis $21.  Individual prices are $6.50 for 11ml, and $3.50 for minis.  Here are some links for you:

MoYou Nails Spring Stamp Designs

***PRESS SAMPLE***

Hello lovelies!  Keeping this short and to the point today - been battling really bad allergies the past few days so everything is a bit fuzzy at the moment.

A few weeks ago I received some Spring-themed plates and a few polishes from MoYou Nails:

I decided to do three different nail designs that would showcase the versatility of the polishes.  The first design I did was a Jelly Stampwich:

I used "Amy," "Jessica," "Kristy," "Kass," and "Tammy" from Creative Cuticles Nail Polish for the jellies and stamped using my MoYou stamp and scraper and white polish.  I chose images from plates 12203209 and 102 and stamped in three layers, leaving the top stamp layer white.  I love how this mani turned out - it's so Springy with the images, but it's a hint of summer with the neon jelly colors!

The second design I created is a gradient with a stamped image over it.

I used MoYou light blue and Orange You Glad nail polishes for the gradient background.  I then stamped with an image from plate 124 using Lilac nail polish color.  I was definitely going for more of a summer mani with this design, specifically for all my friends who are still dealing with frigid weather and snow :)

The last mani design I did is my favorite of the three - it is a combination of a water marble and stamping.

This design was created specifically to see if these polishes that already stamp well, would also water marble - and I am pleased to say they do!  Now the patterns may not be the best - I'm still very much a noob to the water marble technique, but the polishes spread out nicely on the water and were very easy to work with.  On a plain white base (I have found with naked nail, the water marble is very thin and see-through, so you really want to put a solid color base coat first), I used LilacLight BlueMaleficence, and Orange You Glad colors on their own with White for the water marble design on each nail.  I then stamped images from plates 12203102, and 209 using the same polish colors over the water marbling.  With a matte topcoat to finish, the result reminds me of porcelain ^_^  Porcelain reminds me of all the tea parties I used to have as a little girl in the Springtime :)

Overall I have to say I am impressed with the versatility of the polish by MoYou Nails!  I figured, after using the white polish I received in the kit I purchased at ISSELB2015, the other polishes would stamp just as well, and I was correct.  I had no issues with images picking up and transferring - all the little nooks and crannies in each design showed up.  Water marbling was just out of curiosity, and I think it's awesome that they work well for that, too!  I now have found a brand that wears well on its own, stamps perfectly, and also water marbles.  Win, win, win! :D

With regards to the plates, I love how much detail is in the images, especially the butterflies!  I love even more that nothing is lost in the image transfer process - really makes the mani look fantastic!  I am incredibly pleased with these products and can't wait to order some more to play with for Summer!

Bestie Nails - Water Marbling!

This morning I am International Salon and Spa Expo bound!  I received a press badge for it and am so totally thrilled!  This is my first-ever "Member of the Press" experience - it's a little nerve-racking, but so very exciting at the same time!!  I will be sure to take plenty of notes and report back here once I am home :)

I have a very quick post for you this morning featuring three manicures done by myself, Makenna of Pinkies For A Penny, and Roselynn of Manicured and Marvelous - a Bestie Triplet design!  We all went for a water marble with some or all of the colors blue, purple, and green.  Here's a photo of them all together:

Yowza!!!  Just look at those colors!!!  I think they each look wonderful!  I love that all the designs are different, as well as all of our nail shapes :D  These gals are so talented, it was such a pleasure doing this fun design with them!

Here are a few more photos of mine:

This is my 5th time water marbling, and while it is better, it still has room for improvement.  But, I do love how the colors look all together!  I used some of the colors from the "Rave" collection by Gothic Gala Lacquers, and am definitely going to try this look again soon so you can see it glow in the dark :D

That's all for today!  Hope you all have a splendid weekend!  See you soon <3

Water Marble: Attempt Number 1!

It is *finally* starting to get cold here in Phoenix - and by "cold" I mean staying in the mid 60's, low 70's :P  Sweater weather for us, here :D  The cooler weather brings that Fall feeling along with it - so I've been LOVING it!  Fall is my favorite season, and is one of the things I miss most about Washington State - Fall is absolutely gorgeous out there.

I've been itching to do more Fall-like nail designs, and the first one I've done also happens to be my first attempt at water marbling!  The farthest I've gotten before with water marbling was dropping it in the water, but the polish never spread out and I got frustrated.  I abandoned it because I was so frustrated, and never really wanted to try it again.

I bought 3 of Model City Polish's new Fall Colors when the released, and when I received them, I had an idea for a water marble pattern that would look pretty cool.  I have seen lots of different designs but one stood out as really unique - and that was the marbling that looked like a wood pattern.  Since the colors I ordered were all browns/tans, I wanted to give it a shot.  This is how it turned out:

For my first actual attempt, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!  It doesn't look as wooden as I wanted it to, but it still looks pretty nifty!  I love that the colors actually cooperated - some polishes don't want to be marbled :P  This is a design I'll be trying again, next time on all nails, and maybe with some creative freehand design on top ^_^

That's all for today - short and sweet :)  Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!  See you soon <3
