Sassy Polish & Scrubs Fright Night in Wonderland Collection

***Press Sample***

Normally, when it comes to Sportsball, this is me:

However...there is only one time I am actually supportive and pay attention, and that's when the Seahawks are playing - especially when they are playing against a team that almost my entire family on my husband's side supports.

Hehehehehehehe...... *insert devilish grin here*

Alright, enough Sportsball - onto polish!  I've got swatches of one of the two new Halloween collections released by Sassy Polish & Scrubs!  This collection is called Fright Night in Wonderland and there are 6 polishes in total.

Note: For all of the photos, I am using a basecoat of OPI's Nail Envy and a quick-dry topcoat by Frenzy Polish.

We'll start with "Axe Murderer Alice:"

Axe Murderer Alice is a lovely royal blue jelly full of red, white, and black microglitters, as well as a scattered holographic effect.  Shown above in 3 thin coats.

Next up is "Ghostly Cheshire Grin:"

Ghostly Cheshire Grin is a steel grey/blue subtle duochrome with a scattered holographic effect and a purple/teal/fuchsia shift.  Shown above is 2 thin coats.

Queen of Ripping Out Hearts is a deep red jelly packed with a gold shimmer, scattered holo, and red, black, and white micro glitters.  Shown above is 3 thin coats.

Here we have "Terrifying Tweedle Twins:"

Terrifying Tweedle Twins is a bright neon green/yellow (depends on your lighting) filled with yellow red micro glitters and a scattered holographic effect.  Shown above is 2 thin coats.

White Rabbit Witchcraft is a white/grey creme with black and blue microglitters, white shimmer, and a subtle holographic effect.  Shown above is 2 thin coats.

Lastly is "Zombified Hatter:"

Zombified Hatter is a grey/dark green shifting (depends on lighting) polish with purple micro glitters and a subtle holographic shimmer.  Shown above is 2 thin coats.

Overall, this collection is really fun and quite clever!  Sometimes I noticed I had a bit more of a textured finish due to the microglitters (like with Terrifying Tweedle Twins), but with a good thick topcoat like Pahlish's Magic Mirror would have smoothed things over just fine.

You can purchase the full collection HERE at $50.00 for the 15ml full size - 5ml mini sizes are also available individually on the website.  And here are some social links for you:

Whatcha think of this collection?  Does it call to the darker side of Alice in Wonderland? ;)  Let me know what you think in the comments! <3

Ellagee's The Purple One and Daddy Pop + Nail Art

***Press Sample***

Any Prince fans in the house?  If you are waving your arms frantically in the air (in your mind) to show Yes! you are a Prince fan! then this post is for you!  Laura of Ellagee is also a Prince fan and created a special collection called The Arist full of purple and gold polishes inspired by him.  I've got two of those to show you today!

Whenever I think of Prince I think of the movie Pretty Women and the scene when she's singing Kiss in the bathtub :D  So I've had that song stuck in my head since editing these photos :P

The first of the two polishes to show you is called "The Purple One:"

 (Ambient Sunlight)

The Purple One is a gorgeous royal purple holo with a golden shimmer throughout.  Opaque in two coats, it applies smoothly, evenly, and dries to a semi shiny finish.

I decided to add some nail art to these, since it's Prince and all, and he is The Arist ;)  So I used an image of his profile from google and inverted it in my photoshop program:

I then painted the inverted profile onto my nails:

If you take my nail art and invert it again, it looks very close to the original:

Eh, it was fun :P  I used the second polish, "Daddy Pop," as a glitter accent on the tips:

Daddy Pop dries to a semi-textured finished, so a nice layer or two of a glossy topcoat, like HK Girl, will finish the look nicely.

So what do you think of these polishes?  Do you feel they represent The Artist well?  You can find these two polishes with the rest of the collection Here.  You can also follow her on Instagram Here and Facebook Here, and join the Facebook fan group Here for group customs and sneak peaks!

JC Fashion Nails: Deep Ocean & Crazy Life

A little while back I purchased a few polishes from a new-to-me-indie brand JC Fashion Nails.  When I received the polishes, I was more than impressed, I was downright shocked at the amazing quality of the polish!  The first one I tried was a stunner, and a one-coater!  I've got swatches and a quick design to show you of two of the polishes I purchased.

Let's start with Crazy Life:

Crazy Life is a beautiful pearly light pink polish, opaque in one thick coat, though I am wearing two thinner coats in the pics due to the brush stroked that show when applying.  This polish did apply like a dream, though - very smooth and even and dried in under 5 minutes to a shiny finish.  I am wearing HK Girl Glisten & Glow topcoat on my pointer and pinky in the second picture, and a matte topcoat on my middle and ring fingers.

The second polish to show you is my favorite, called Deep Ocean:

This stunner is a deep royal blue, opaque in one coat, as shown in the photos above.  Applied super smooth and dried in under 5 minutes to a shiny finish.  Same topcoats in the second photo as in the first.

I am just blown away by this brand!!  The quality in the polishes is very good, and I adore that they are one coaters!  That blue, though... Ugh, so gorgeous <3

Here's a little nail art I did using both Crazy Life and Deep Ocean:

I knew they'd look smashing together ^_^  I used KBShimmer's swirl vinyl decals for the heart design :)

You can peruse more polishes by this brand here, and you can follow them on Instagram here and Facebook here (give them a like - they're sitting at a lowly 6!).

What do you think of these colors?  Are you a fan of one-coaters, too?

Gothic Gala Lacquers Mt. Olympus Collection, Part 2

***Press Sample***

Now that you've had a gander at the first five polishes in the Mt. Olympus Collection by Gothic Gala Lacquers, let's take a look and the remaining five!

First up is Hephaestus:

Hephaestus is a lovely dusty metallic silver, and I really love how it looks with a matte topcoat!

Here is Hera:

Hera is a light, almost lilac metallic purple.  Its formula is a little thinner, like Aphrodite, and took 3 coats to be mostly opaque, as shown in the pics.

Next is Hestia, one of my favorites:

I just love the rich green color of Hestia!!  It's another polish that will be perfect for St. Patrick's Day :D

Up now is Poseidon:

This teal blue is just perfect for Poseidon - makes me want to go visit the ocean ^_^

And last up is the grand Poobah of them all - Zeus:

I love that she chose a striking bright blue to represent Zeus - it's a very strong, bold color that most definitely stands out on its own, and in matte form.  It's a completely gorgeous color, and my other favorite of these new colors :)

Application for all of these has been consistent and the same - smooth and dry in under five minutes.

Pre-orders for this collection are TODAY, March 1st at 12pm PST and will run through the 9th.  You can purchase the polishes individually at the 10ml size for $7.25, or you can purchase the entire collection at $65.25 for the 10ml size, and $51.75 for the 7ml mini size (only available as a collection, not for the individual polishes).  Shipping for the pre-orders will begin on March 16th, which is when all the polishes will be available at the regular shop price ($7.75 for 10ml individual, $69.75 for 10ml collection, $56.25 for 7ml collection).

Now that you've seen the rest of the collection, what do you think?  Which one is your favorite of these five?  Are you going to pick any of these beauties up?

*Press Release*: I, A.M. Custom Color January Duo

***PRESS RELEASE***

Happy Tuesday!! Today I've got some swatches of the upcoming January Duo by I, A.M. Custom Color set to release on the 30th of this month.

This duo is part of a new collection by the creator called "Ashes' Favorites."  This new collection will consist of a new duo every month featuring polishes named after one of her favorite singers, and one of her favorite dancers.  January's duo will also include a shimmery pink chocolate raspberry butterfly-shaped mini lotion bar :)

So let's get to the polishes!

The first polish in this duo is called "Prima Assoluta," named for Alessandra Ferri - the creator's favorite ballerina :)

Prima Assoluta is a beautiful pink jelly full of rainbow micro flakies and glitters.  This polish dried in under five minutes to a lovely shiny finish.  I am wearing three coats in the photos above, with the brand's DiamondPRO topcoat.

The second polish is a thermal called "The Rain," named after the song by Calvin Harris:

Outdoors, Warm State

Transition

 Cold State

Indoors, Warm State

 Transition

Cold State

The rain is a lovely medium blue shade when warm, and a deep, forest green when cold.  The polish is packed with ultra chameleon chrome flakies and is holographic!  It's really quite a stunner!  Opaque in three coats, it also dried in under five minutes to a nice shine.  Again, I am wearing a layer of the DiamondPRO topcoat.

The Ups: Prima Assoluta is the perfect ballerina pink polish, and is really lovely and sparkly in the sun.  Application was super smooth, too, and I love the fast drying time.

The Rain is one of the most beautiful thermals I've seen!  I am personally a fan of blues and greens, so this thermal was pretty much meant for me - especially since it also has chrome flakies and is holographic!  I appreciated the smooth application and quick drying time in this polish, as well.

The Downs:  I had no issues with these polishes - the formula is solid, application is smooth, and quick dry time.  Big two thumbs up from me!

I am very impressed with this brand, and definitely recommend you check them out!  Here are some links for you:
